personality:

Han practically embodies every aspect of the word 'scoundrel'. He's quick on his feet, knows how to manipulate a situation to his advantage, isn't afraid to get his hands dirty if the money's right, and his sense of morality is at best skewed. Han is confident, self-assured, and charismatic. He has a bravado that often reads as arrogant, and he knows what he's good at and he's going to make sure you know it too.

Han has a very dry sense of humor, as well as a large cockiness about him that often lends itself to bravery that goes beyond the point of stupidity. He has a very direct method of approaching things, and a pragmatic view of the world. His mind's not easily swayed, and his stubborn streak has been known to get him into trouble more times than what he'd care to admit. Han's also a risk taker, he enjoys gambling, drinking, and shooting, and most importantly, attracting the firefights that come along for the ride with those vices.

He's also rude and at times condescending to people who have yet to earn his respect or trust. He's not the type to open up easily to someone, and prefers keeping people at a distance. He does have his softer side, however, usually triggered by guilt. Typically, he looks out for number one, but at times, if he grows to care for people, he's not afraid to stick his neck out for his loved ones, even though he'll never admit to doing so.

When it comes to his interactions with people, Han usually enjoys talking up the big game. He has no problem with being called arrogant, and in fact exemplifies the 'swaggering' trait to his personality in order to rake in the money and also to offset the competition. Han's not above the law, per se, but he is definitely in the margins. There's a very shrewd intelligence about him as well, often he's the guy covering the skewed angles of a problem and he's the first one to shoot down the blinding optimism that tends to lead his friends astray. He's not as tough as the wanted holos portray him, however. Han is incredibly loyal to the people who earn his respect, and he makes sure that the people he cares about get the same amount of respect (if not more) than he does. Just, you know, subtlely and without them knowing that's what he's doing.

abilities/powers:

* Shooting : Han is an excellent shot when it comes to blasters, which I imagine would translate fairly easily over to guns / any other weapon he can find or make

*Piloting: One of the best pilots depicted in the Star Wars Universe (which is saying a lot, as it is a literal universe ). Han can fly anything he gets his hands on with grace and finesse and about twenty pounds of bravado. Not sure how this will translate in the city, but thought it'd be best to make a note of it.

*Mechanics: Han is more than handy with mechanical repairs. He'd have to be, with keeping the Millenium Falcon afloat

*Swagger: dude moves like Mick Jagger

The wire hissed and snapped as it burned the edges of Han's fingers, and not for the first time that night he was beginning to feel his infinite patience begin to dwindle.

Nevermind the fact that he had about 3000 creds worth of damage on the vessel of his livelihood and about 1200 credits to fix it with, or that the kid wouldn't shut up about getting off this frozen piece of rock and heading toward a swamp covered piece of rock, or trying to figure out how to feed both himself and a wookiee on 20 credits for the rest of his life, oh no. Now wires were burning and threatening to fry them all alive.

And then there was that whole... emotional problem.

Okay. Maybe that was a stretch. More like...opinionated.

Yeah. That sounded better. The opinionated problem.

Which was mainly based on the fact that she wasn't allowing him to have any lately.
And that hers started with scruffy-looking.

Scruffy-looking. Honestly. A gal gets herself riled up and the next thing you know there's the baseless accusations.

Han snorted, lowering the plasma torch again.

Scruffy-looking. And Luke had hit puberty.

It wasn't his fault though. The uptight ones were drawn to him. If anything, he should've expected it coming from the mouth of an overbearing royal. Those royals always liked to spout off without thinking, especially the ones from Alderaan.
Especially the short ones.
With the overly complicated hair.
And the demanding brown eyes.
And the attractive-

The wire snapped in half again.

Han swore in nine different dialects of Huttese as he tried to ignore a Wookiee's echoing laughter and the fact that those demanding brown eyes had trained in on him and his hodgepodge repairs with a single inquisitive eyebrow lift.

Uh, we had a slight weapons malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?
